Sunday Sewing Academy – 24-hour weekend course over 4 months

Life is busy. You’ve always wanted to learn to sew, but work and obligations don’t leave time during the week. Don’t worry — we’ve got something for you! Our Sunday Sewing Academy is the perfect solution.

This course is designed for:

• complete beginners who have never used a sewing machine before, and

• those with basic sewing knowledge who want to improve their skills.

Each session takes place on the first Sunday of the month, over a 4-month period, for a total of 24 hours of instruction.

Every meeting lasts 6 hours (including a 30-minute break), from 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM, in our sewing studio in Kilcock.

During the course, you’ll learn:

• how to use a sewing machine and other machines (overlocker, babylocker, blind stitch, and more),

• hand sewing techniques, types of human figures and body measurements,

• how to fix and fit clothes, insert zippers, create details (collars, cuffs, fasteners), and more,

• the entire garment creation process — from pattern design to finished piece.

You’ll also discover:

• how to use your own home sewing machine to its full potential,

• how to solve common machine issues,

• which sewing accessories make your work easier and better.

At the end of this course, you will confidently sew your own top, blouse, skirt, dress, or trousers — tailored to your measurements and fully finished.

Small groups only – max 6 people. All materials and sewing machines provided.

If you prefer, you can bring your own sewing machine.
